Drinking For Creativity
I know what you are thinking. I knew I was more creative when I am drunk. But it is not true and that is not my subject today, SORRY.
The kind of drinking I am talking about is water consumption. Did you know that the average person does not drink enough water every day? That means that on average people are dehydrated.
Your brain is over 85% water. After oxygen, water is the next most important fuel you can supply it. In fact the most significant cause of memory loss is lack of hydration!
It is important for all of us to have 8 to 10 eight ounce glasses of water every day. I start in the morning. I have made it a habit to grab a glass of water first thing and drink it down, then I fill it up again and wake up as I sip.
Yes, I have water before coffee!
Also you should realize that just because it is wet does not mean it is hydrating you.
Alcohol is a diuretic. That means it expels water from your system making you dehydrated. It’s the same with soda, fruit juices (too much sugar) and most caffeinated drinks.
Now I am not trying to say you should never drink anything but water. I am saying you need to fill your body with the good stuff if you want to be a creative thinker.
It just goes to show that Mother Nature knew what she was doing when she made good old fashion water. It tastes good, makes you healthier, smarter and clear of toxins!
